Hello, Kurt Shafer here, to tell you how I thought up the idea of signs that fly.

I was taking down my star of Bethlehem Christmas decoration in December, 2023. It was built on an 8 foot copper pipe that had a 4 foot cross bar and 2 foot long spokes at 45 degree angles plus a 20 inch diameter circle in the center. The entire assembly was covered with white lights.

I had mounted it on another 8 foot pipe so it stood well above my home’s roof.

While I was taking it down I thought “Kurt, this needs to fly”. Thus the beginning of SignsThatFly.biz.
